About Slow Food Snoqualmie Valley
Slow Food is a non-profit, educational organization and is about coming together as a food community--connecting the local producers and consumers to create and enjoy food that is "good, clean, and fair."
About Slow Food USA
Slow Food USA has over 17,000 members in
the United States helping us celebrate and promote rich and
delicious food traditions and pave the way to a more sustainable
food system.
Each of our members receives subscriptions to the Snail, Slow Food
USA's national quarterly magazine, and a Slow Food International
publication, this year, The Slow Food Almanac. In addition, you'll
receive a subscription to our electronic newsletter, the Food Chain,
which is e-mailed monthly. Your membership also grants you discounts
on select Slow Food merchandise and Slow Food events. Most
importantly, though, your membership dues will go toward promoting
our groundbreaking educational programs that support small farms,
sustainable agriculture, and local food traditions around the
country.
Slow Food members not only join our national and international
organizations, but they also become members of local chapters
(convivia). Led by dedicated volunteers, our local chapters
are truly the cornerstone of the Slow Food movement.
